Alongside Facebook, the personal information of 500 million LinkedIn users was also leaked on the internet.

Approximately two-thirds of the total personal data of LinkedIn users was leaked into a hacker forum.

The hacker forum was discovered to be supplying data for 500 million LinkedIn accounts out of a total of 740 million, according to Cybernews. LinkedIn IDs, full names, email addresses, phone numbers, gender, links to LinkedIn and other social media accounts, and professional titles are among the information leaked.

LinkedIn, for one, has shown its stance by claiming that it was not data theft because the information sold on the Internet has already become public and is only obtained from other services; but, if any of these items are misused, it is a violation of their terms and conditions.

This incident occurs just days after it was announced that the data of 533 million Facebook users had been stolen, as evidenced by a piracy website.
