WhatsApp is the most widely used mobile messaging app in the world. This is why the unofficial clients of this system are proliferating in all operating systems: In Linux, specifically, it is difficult to track this category of applications, because many of those that achieved some fame at that time stopped updating or working forever.
Consequently, apps like Whatsie and WhatsApp-Desktop no longer exist. But luckily, they had fully able alternatives to run WhatsApp on Linux which we will get to know.
It is an easy-to-use desktop app, with frequent updates, with a notification system that integrates nicely with major Linux desktop devices, and also provides dark mode and lock screen alerts.
You can find its source code in the Github repository, and install it using a Snap package, using the command "sudo snap install kesty-whatsapp".
It is a WhatsApp desktop application included in a light electronic application. As in the case of the previous application, we can install it using Snap packages, we will just have to enter the following command: "sudo snap install whatsdesk".
