Soon, Oppo will release a phone concept. Not only will the phone have a bold look, but it will also have some of the most cutting-edge technology available today. The device's idea isn't completely new, but it may be the best way to deal with the phone's lack of ports, connections, and buttons: the whole phone would be a screen. He won't even be seen with a camera!
From 2021, Oppo aims to make a major bet on one of its designs or ideas. The phone would most likely not be available for purchase, but it will act as a model for other phones beginning in 2022 or in the near future. The device's concept is to exclude or replace something that isn't completely required for its operation.
This boils down to no visible buttons, connections, or cameras. Everything in the device will be a screen, back glass, or metal edges. Getting rid of buttons is simpler, as Oppo will use the edges of the screen or place pressure-sensitive areas on the frames.
The cameras will also be removed, at least from their visibility: the front end will be hidden under the screen and the back will be hidden by an electrical system that we do not know yet. Being a concept it would be "easy" to hide the cameras.
But the most curious thing is that Oppo has said that the charging will be wired and not just wireless. The first idea that comes to mind is to introduce a magnetic system with a port hidden in the underframe. It's a bit like Apple's MagSafe, but with a much smaller system.
If this design comes true, it will be one of the most exciting designs on the market today. Waiting for whether or not it will be useful is a matter of time to verify, as it has already proven that having buttons or ports are better to improve or otherwise improve the everyday experience.
