Video calls are witnessing a golden age with Corona virus. Huawei is one of those companies that took the opportunity to announce their video calling app: MeeTime.
The app is integrated by default in EMUI 10.1, the new version of the brand system that will gradually reach the various phones that make up the Huawei mobile catalog.
As the company demonstrates on the official EMUI 10.1 website, MeeTime is a video calling app that delivers good video quality even in low-light environments or when the internet isn't good.
Among its most interesting features is the ability to share screen content with the other participant in the video call. For this, it will be necessary to send an invitation, and the other person to accept it. Another option is the ability to draw on the screen when making a call.
As I said at the beginning, the app is directly integrated into EMUI 10.1, and it works on both smartphones and tablets and on Huawei Vision TV. Initially, an update to the new EMUI version will be available for those devices that have a Kirin 990 processor, with Huawei P40 and Mate 30 phones being the first to feature MeeTime as the default video calling app.
It is not known whether Huawei will allow MeeTime to be downloaded on other company's devices in the future. If so, it might become a good alternative to apps like Google Duo and more ...
