HONOR X10 WILL PACK A CUSTOM IMX600Y SENSOR FROM SONY

A couple of weeks ago we started to see the first rumors popping out for the successor of the highly-succesful Honor 9X. Instead of Honor 10X, the new handset will be called Honor X10. According to reports, this is a new change from Honor to avoid confusion with the upcoming Redmi X10. A few days ago, a new Honor 5G-capable smartphone with mid-range specs was spotted in TENAA. Now, a reliable leakster informed us that the upcoming handset will boast a custom Sony IMX600y sensor.

Interestingly enough, the IMX600 sensor isn’t a new player. It was already used in several Huawei and Honor smartphones. Most recently, we saw the arrival of Honor V30 Pro and Mate Xs boasting the 40MP shooter. However, the IMX600y is a new thing, although it shares the same resolution it will have custom features making it unique

Along with the rumor, there’s also a shortlist of specifications confirming what TENAA already revealed. Apart from the 40MP shooter, the handset also has two other cameras one with 8MP and another one with 2MP. The 8MP shooter should be an ultra-wide one, while the latter is either a macro or depth sensor. Moreover, the phone ships with a 16MP sensor.

The handset also boasts a USB-C port with a 22.5W fast-charging rate. The battery is a 4,200mAh unit and the 3.5mm headphone jack is present here. The phone has 163.7 x 76.5 x 8.8mm overall dimensions, boasts a 6.63-inch FHD+ display. Under the hood, it is powered by the Kirin 820 SoC with an integrated 5G modem
