Google closes the Shoelace app, the latest project that has not lasted for a year

Google is a company involved in a large number of projects, such as Stadia or its streamed video game platform or debit card development and many others. In July 2019, she officially introduced Shoelace to her company, her latest social network project but will be officially closed within a few weeks.

Shoelace was only accessible by invitation. A little less than a year has passed, and Google is now sending a statement to Shoelace users to inform them that this project will end on May 12, and as stated in AndroidPolice, Google claims to have learned from the app, although it is not a good time to follow the project.
The app is designed to bring people together. In short, it is a platform to find people who have our same interests, and in the statement that Google Inc. sent to users, Google states that they do not believe the time is right to invest efforts in this project and that the company has no plans or intention to revive the application in the future.
Shoelace user accounts and data will be removed by May 12, although if someone wants to keep them they can always request to receive a copy of the data before that day arrives.
